Nerano is a hidden gem, almost at the tip of the Sorrento and Amalfi peninsula. It is hidden away from the crowds and has such an authentic feel. The harbor is called Marina del Cantone and is magical. Besides Il Contuccio, you will find other amazing restaurants. Mary’s Beach has the best shrimp we have ever tasted. Restaurant da Pappone is a quaint family-owned restaurant with their dog, Snoopy, and Lo Scoglio, famous for Spaghetti Nearano and featured on Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy series. The beach is rocky but chairs are available to rent. there is also a stand to rent boat charters as well as catch a daily trip to Capri.

The village of Nerano is located between the Sorrento Coast and Amalfi Coast. It is a small fishing village with a peaceful small marina with shops and restaurants. The best news is that it is away from the crowds of Amalfi but it is important to figure out transportation.
Il Contuccio~ Nerano
One of the best nights ever, and maybe the best meal we have ever had! Franco our waiter asked everyone to get up on their chairs and dance to Abba’s Mamma Mia! it was the most fun we had while in Italy. A driver can pick you up by van or even boat and take you directly to the restaurant. The hospitality, the view, and the food were amazing!
