Welcome to Capri!
About Capri
Capri, an island in Italy’s Bay of Naples, is famed for its rugged landscape, upscale hotels and shopping, from designer fashions to limoncello and handmade leather sandals. One of its best-known natural sites is the Blue Grotto, a dark cavern where the sea glows electric blue, the result of sunlight passing through an underwater cave.there are other grottos all along the rugged coastline. In summer, Capri’s dramatic, cove-studded coastline draws many travelers.
Some of the main features of the island include the Marina Piccola (the little harbour), the Belvedere of Tragara (a high panoramic promenade lined with villas), the limestone crags called sea stacks that project above the sea (the faraglioni), the town of Anacapri, the ruins of the Imperial Roman villas, and the vistas of various towns surrounding the Island of Capri including Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento, Nerano, and Naples.
Our Favorite Tours
Eat Play & Stay
We were fortunate enough to eat here for lunch during a day trip by boat around the island. We believe it was one of the most magical places in Capri. The view is captivating and the food was outstanding. We never had fresher seafood! It is located in the port of Marina Grande. There is an amzing Gelato shop just up the hill that you must try!
We ate at this lovely seaside restaurant during a day out on the boat. It is located very close to the Marina Grande pier (where most ferries and boats arrive). The seafood was so fresh and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere. It is close to shops and gelato as well as a local beach.
On the other side of the island from Marina Grande is Marina Piccola. It is a bit less crowded here and the view is just as good. It is close to shops and gelato as well as a local beach. For a great day out, stop by Lo Scoglio delle Sirene!
Our biggest tip is if you plan on going to Capri, it is more affordable to take a ferry to the island and then book a day trip by boat. If you don't want to think about arranging that most boats will pick you up where you are. At least Precious Boats is that flexible! We had this booked just prior to the pandemic and of course they were so gracious to cancel our reservation, There are lot of boat companies in Capri, but after a lot of research we found this one of the best. The prices are quite affordable too.
Another Boat Tour company with excellent reviews is Giann's Boat Tour. This is a family run business with flexiblity. Click on the image or title. They offer different tours (private or group) and even a sunset tour for an affordable price. We cannot recommend a tour of the coast and a trip through the Faragolini rocks enough! it is a memoreable experiene you will talk about for years to come.
This Guest House has got everything! Besides the incredible view, and wonderful ammentities, the hosts are gracious and helpful. They own a restaurant close by, where they will serve breakfast. They have a true appreciation for the area and can help with suggestions as well!
It is always special when you can stay with locals. This guest house not only has amazing views, but the hospitality that is praised by many reviews. If you can find time to stay on the island of Capri, it will give you time to explore the island.

Rent a Vintage Fiat
The Bed and Breakfast we suggested, La Giuliva offers a vintage fiat for 2 hours. A photographer can be hired to take pictures of some of the most iconic spots on the island. Click Explore More for info.
On the southwest side of the island is a beautiful lighthouse that was built two centuries ago. Tickets are available to tour and there is an incredible beach nearby. It is one of the best places on the island to see the sunset.
Day Trip to Amalfi
Capri Sea Service is an excellent choice if you want to embark on a day trip to Sorrento, Amalfi or another island. We are partial to a beautiful and magical fishing village called Nerano on the Sorrento coat. It has some of the best restaurants in Italy! Our favorite is Il Contuccio. or La Conca del Sogno, which can be traveled to by boat. Another highly rated is Lo Scogilio, where Stanley Tucci visited on one episode of Searching for Italy. Click on each to be blown away!
